🌹 Hommage à Aki – Jusqu’au bout de la lumière

This weekend, the world lost Aki — a soul both fragile and luminous, who fought with all her strength to free herself from suffering.

Aki sought liberation until her very last breath. Against the advice of medicine in Belgium, she went to Spain, trying one final, forbidden technique, believing in the chance of a cure. Her heart, which had carried so much love and so much pain, finally let go. But in this choice, in this last act of courage, she remained faithful to herself: determined, unyielding, fighting for life and for peace within.

Aki was never alone. Vincent, her faithful companion, stood by her side unfailingly, through every trial, every moment. Their story is one of devotion — a love that endured storms and silences, and that continues even beyond her passing.

She leaves behind not only memories, but also music. Together we composed — she, on her own, and once together, our sounds entwined. These traces live on, scattered through my albums, and they will forever carry her presence. Music was Aki’s other heartbeat, her way of engraving herself in the world.

To honor her, I chose to cover “Woman” by John Lennon.

Lennon too was taken far too early, at the height of his strength, while raising his voice for peace. Like Aki, he carried within him both fragility and immense power. This song, now, belongs to her memory: a hymn to love, to strength, to what endures even when bodies fail.

There is only one explanation for her departure so soon: the Creator called her back. He loved her so deeply, and she had suffered so greatly, that her karmic debt was paid in full. Her recall was early, but her soul had completed its mission.

Aki leaves behind silence, but also inspiration. She leaves an example of resilience, of beauty despite pain, of love despite despair.

We will miss her infinitely, but she remains alive — in the music we created, in the devotion Vincent embodied, and in every heart she touched.

May her memory be a blessing. May her music be her echo. May her soul rest in light.
